The opening ceremony of the Afro Bahia Festival, “The Power of Leaves,” will honor the deep connection between nature, ancestry, and spirituality. Leaves hold a sacred role in many Afro-Brazilian traditions, symbolizing healing, protection, and the wisdom passed down through generations. During this gathering, we will explore the importance of leaves in ancestral practices and their enduring spiritual significance.
The ceremony will feature a dance presentation inspired by these traditions, celebrating cultural heritage through movement and expression. Following the performance, guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail reception and continue the celebration together.
